In the spring of 2017, the life of 19-year-old Lonnie B. Jones IV was tragically cut short in a violent encounter in Southaven, Mississippi. On the evening of March 3rd, Jones, known to his loved ones as Mane Mane, was at the Legacy Crossing Apartments off Highway 51 when gunfire erupted. The shooting left Jones fatally wounded and another 18-year-old individual injured. Jones, a Black male, was rushed to a hospital in Memphis but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
