A 24-year-old man, Eric Hawkins, tragically lost his life in a shooting on the afternoon of Monday, April 2, 2018, in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident occurred on Clifton Street, where Hawkins was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
