In the late spring of 2019, tragedy struck in Jackson, Mississippi, leaving a family to mourn and a community to question the circumstances surrounding the death of a young man. On May 23, 2019, 26-year-old Octavius Miller was found lifeless inside a car in west Jackson. He had been fatally shot, a victim of gun violence that cut his life short.
