On January 8, 2023, Marquarius Carpenter, a 17-year-old resident of Jackson, Mississippi, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. Carpenter's body was discovered in the 3000 block of Wabash Street in Northeast Jackson before 4 a.m. on Sunday. The Hinds County Coroner, Sharon Grisham-Stewart, officially identified the victim two days later.
