In the spring of 2019, the life of 22-year-old Linzell Giles was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On Sunday, April 28th, Giles fell victim to gun violence in an afternoon shooting. This incident was part of a particularly violent weekend in the city, during which a total of eight people were shot, resulting in two fatalities, including Giles.
