On April 23, 2024, 19-year-old Shavarion Jaleel Ross was fatally shot in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident occurred in the 300 block of North Flag Chapel Road, where officers discovered Ross suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
