In the quiet community of Starkville, Mississippi, the life of Joseph Lamar Turnipseed Jr., a 33-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short on the night of February 8, 2019. Responding to reports of gunfire, Starkville police discovered Turnipseed inside a vehicle at the West Main Arms apartment complex, the victim of a fatal shooting.
