Troy Whittington, a 31-year-old volunteer firefighter from Natchez, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on March 1, 2019. Whittington, along with his fellow firefighter Jason Haley, was shot to death in a domestic dispute that escalated into violence. The incident occurred at the home of a friend and fellow firefighter on Quasar Street, just off U.S. 61 North, after they had attended the Natchez Krewe of Phoenix Mardi Gras parade.
