On August 10, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Adams County, Mississippi, resulting in the deaths of Taron Woods, 24, and Brandon Brooks, 26. The two men were victims of what authorities described as a "brazen ambush-style killing" on Myrtle Drive. Both Woods and Brooks suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
