A trip to a local grocery store on a Sunday evening in Natchez, Mississippi, turned into a scene of violence and tragedy, leaving a young man dead and a community in shock. On July 5, 2026, 28-year-old Kenerick Wimley was shot and killed at the Southside Market on Seargent S. Prentiss Drive.
