A five-year-old Black female named Queenyanna Davis was tragically killed on the evening of April 15, 2020, in Jackson, Mississippi. The young girl was at her aunt's apartment in the Wood Village Apartments with her mother, Elizabeth Davis, when the incident occurred. Around 9:30 p.m., while Queenyanna was sleeping on the living room floor, multiple gunshots were fired from outside the apartment. One of the bullets penetrated the home and struck the child in the head.
