On a spring day in Vicksburg, Mississippi, a dispute that began at a gas station escalated into a fatal encounter for 37-year-old Moses Luckett. On May 15, 2020, following the initial altercation, Summer Rena McGee, then 21, went to Luckett's residence at the New Main Apartments on Alcorn Drive. When Luckett answered his door, McGee shot him in the chest. A second shot was fired through the door after it was closed.
