In the summer of 2016, a tragedy unfolded in Vicksburg, Mississippi, leaving a family and community in mourning. On June 18th, 46-year-old Edward Vaughn and his 35-year-old wife, Surrenda Davis Vaughn, were found deceased in what authorities investigated as a possible murder-suicide. The couple had been lost to gun violence, a shocking event that cut their lives short.
