Melvin Harris, 31, a Black male from Vicksburg, Mississippi, was shot and killed on the afternoon of August 31, 2025, outside Waleed’s gas station at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Bazinsky Road. Calls about gunfire came in just after 3 p.m., and responding officers found Harris on the ground with gunshot wounds.
