On July 1, 2023, 21-year-old Keon Williams was fatally shot at the Azalea Cove Apartments in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m., when a group had gathered in the apartment complex's parking lot. An assailant opened fire, striking Williams in the head and leg. Two 18-year-olds, a male and a female, were also injured, each sustaining gunshot wounds to the leg.
