Malik Vallarie, a 21-year-old resident of Vicksburg, Mississippi, was tragically killed on June 14, 2021. The incident occurred in the Waltersville area, where an altercation on a basketball court escalated into a fatal shooting. Vallarie attempted to flee the gunfire by running towards a wooded area behind the City of Vicksburg Animal Shelter but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
