In the summer of 2019, the life of 21-year-old Keithan Ward, a Black male from Vicksburg, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. On the evening of June 7th, Ward was discovered inside a Nissan Altima on Halls Ferry Road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Merit Health River Region, but despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries in the emergency room.
