James Blair, a 77-year-old deputy sheriff from Mendenhall, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on June 12, 2020. Blair, who had dedicated over 50 years to law enforcement, was shot and killed while transporting a subject from an involuntary psychiatric evaluation at a mental health facility on Mississippi Highway 13 in Mendenhall.
