On a late summer evening in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of Jerry Brown, Jr. was cut short in a sudden act of violence. The 28-year-old male was on Commerce Street on September 7, 2020, when he became the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting. The Jackson Police Department was called to the scene to investigate the homicide, which added to the city's growing count of violent crimes for the year.
