In Jackson, Mississippi, a 26-year-old Black / African American man named Clarence Jackson had his life cut short on the afternoon of March 30, 2025. The violent incident unfolded in the 100 block of Meadow Lane, a residential area where peace was shattered by gunfire around 4:30 p.m. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find Jackson suffering from fatal wounds, and he was pronounced dead before he could be transported for medical care.
The shooting also involved a second victim, a 24-year-old male who sustained injuries but survived after receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Detectives with the Jackson Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation, collecting evidence from the Meadow Lane scene and interviewing potential witnesses.
