On Sunday, February 2, 2020, police in Jackson, Mississippi, launched a homicide investigation following a deadly shooting at a business on Robinson Road. Officers responded to the scene in the 3500 block of Robinson Street, where they discovered two men who had been shot. One of the victims was identified as Roy Lee Fitzgerald, a 69-year-old Black male. He and the second victim, identified as 57-year-old Roger Chapman, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
