In the summer of 2015, a young man's life was cut short in Jackson, Mississippi, leaving a family to grapple with a future he would never see. Justin Williams, a 20-year-old father, was killed on June 21, 2015. His death was the result of a homicide. Just two days after his death, an acceptance letter to Jackson State Community College arrived, a poignant reminder of his aspirations to earn a business degree and build a better life for his family.
