Born into a close-knit family, Anthony was the youngest child of his late mother and was known to his loved ones as a man who cherished his family, including his grandmother, two children, and siblings. He had attended local schools in Jackson, such as Lanier High School, and was remembered by those who knew him as a person who loved life.
However, that Monday evening would mark a violent turn of events that left his community and family in mourning.
The incident unfolded while Harvey was a passenger in a vehicle traveling through the city. According to reports from the Jackson Police Department, he was riding with a female driver when a physical altercation occurred inside the moving car. Investigators determined that during the drive, Harvey produced a handgun and pointed it at the woman driving the vehicle. A struggle for control of the weapon reportedly ensued between the two occupants. In the chaos of the wrestle for the gun, the firearm discharged, striking Harvey in the side.
