In the city of Jackson, Mississippi, a popular and well-known male entertainer and nightclub owner, Laramie 'Jacktown Bud' Collins, who was a 34-year-old Black / African American man, was killed on the night of November 24, 2021. The incident took place in the 700 block of McDowell Road, outside the South Side Barber Shop. Collins was inside his vehicle when he was shot multiple times and died at the scene.
