In the spring of 2017, the life of 26-year-old Jamie Washington was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On the evening of Saturday, May 27th, Washington was on Gammil Street when gunfire erupted. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and, despite the immediate response of emergency services, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Another man was also wounded in the shooting but survived.
