He was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival, leaving a community to grapple with another senseless act of gun violence. The incident, which occurred in the city where Wright resided, prompted an immediate investigation by local law enforcement.
For several months, the case remained under investigation as authorities worked to identify the person responsible for the shooting.
