On September 6, 2023, a tragic shooting incident occurred in Jackson, Mississippi, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Kedryn Wright and injuries to three others. The victims reported that an unknown man approached them and opened fire.

Kedryn Edward Sha' Wright, born on October 24, 1994, to James Edward Lewis and Suvodka R. Wright, was pronounced dead at a local hospital following the shooting. The incident took place in Jackson, where Wright resided.
