Rikyla Brown, a 21-year-old mother of two from Jackson, Mississippi, tragically lost her life on May 19, 2021, in a domestic violence incident. The incident occurred at the Greenbriar Apartments in south Jackson. According to reports, the police received a call about a disturbance around 2:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found Brown's body upstairs in her apartment. She had been shot and killed by Traverro McElroy, the 34-year-old uncle of her ex-boyfriend.
