In the summer of 2013, a heartbreaking event unfolded in Oklahoma City, forever changing the lives of a local family. On the evening of August 14th, police were called to a home in the southeastern part of the city to investigate a report of a possible deceased individual. Upon their arrival, they discovered a tragic scene. Inside the residence, four family members had been fatally shot.
Among the victims was 16-year-old Catherine Nicole Cizek, a young woman who was about to begin her
sophomore year at Del City High School. Those who knew her remembered a sweet-spirited individual with a ready smile. Her life, full of potential, was cut short in an act of violence that also claimed the lives of her mother, Rebecca Cizek, who was 34, her grandmother, Sallie Green, aged 57, and her infant nephew, Amario Dominguez.
The investigation into the quadruple homicide quickly led to a person of interest who was familiar with the family. Authorities arrested Daniel Green, who was the son of Sallie Green, the brother of Rebecca Cizek, and the uncle of Catherine Cizek and young Amario. The medical examiner later confirmed that Catherine had sustained two gunshot wounds, one to her head and another to her back. The devastating loss of four generations of the same family in such a violent manner sent shockwaves through the community.
