Death by Force

In the winter of 2014, a life was tragically cut short in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Courtney Darnell Parks, a 26-year-old Black man, was fatally shot on the evening of December 29th. The incident unfolded around 9 p.m. in a common area of the Plaza Hills East Apartment complex, situated near 15th Street and 129th East Avenue. First responders arrived to a grim scene, finding Parks wounded. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries after running behind a building in the complex.
