Krista Newman, a 25-year-old woman from Frankston, Texas, tragically lost her life on December 27, 2018, in Tyler, Texas. Newman and Caleb McGrady, 26, were shot while leaving a house party in the 2300 block of Ridgewood Drive, just off the east side of Loop 323. The perpetrator, Harvey Louis Martin, a man from Whitehouse, Texas, later turned himself in at the Tyler Police Department, confessing to the crime and revealing that the gun used was in his truck.
