In the winter of 2020, a life was tragically cut short in Tulsa, Oklahoma. DeMario Dantrell Johnson, a 19-year-old male, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. His death was the result of a violent encounter that unfolded near the Tudor House Inn, in the vicinity of Admiral and Sheridan.
That day, Johnson was discovered with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
The Tulsa Police Department's Homicide Squad immediately launched an investigation into the shooting.
The investigation swiftly pointed to a primary suspect, Peter Glen Williams. According to Lieutenant Brandon Watkins of the homicide squad, numerous witnesses present at the scene recognized the shooter, which greatly aided in his prompt identification. Information provided by these individuals was crucial in leading law enforcement to Williams.
Williams was apprehended on complaints of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm. During the investigation, police were able to recover a weapon that Williams had allegedly thrown onto the roof of a nearby building. The presence of multiple witnesses, along with available video evidence, played a significant role in the rapid progression of the case and the subsequent arrest of the suspect.
