In a tragic turn of events on a warm evening in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a young man’s life was cut short. On September 4, 2023, Gregory Robinson, a 24-year-old male, found himself in the parking lot of the Apache Manor housing complex. It was there that an encounter would prove to be his last.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 11:05 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Robinson unresponsive.
Emergency medical services were dispatched, and he was quickly transported to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Gregory Robinson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the city's 36th homicide of the year immediately commenced. Detectives began piecing together the events that led to the fatal shooting. Their investigation led them to identify a suspect: 14-year-old Keandre Shivers. It is believed that Shivers was with Robinson in the parking lot just before the shooting occurred. Authorities suggest that a possible scuffle over a firearm escalated, resulting in Shivers allegedly shooting Robinson and then fleeing the scene.
The day after the incident, officers with the Tulsa Police Department executed a search warrant at the Apache Manor. During the search, they recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting. Subsequently, Keandre Shivers was taken into custody. He now faces a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Gregory Robinson.
