In the winter of 2022, a knock at the door of a Tulsa apartment set in motion a devastating series of events that would end in the tragic death of Camron Roesner. On January 29th, the 29-year-old male was at his home at the Parkview Terrace Apartments when he was fatally shot. His mother recalls the heart-wrenching call she received, a call that would forever change her life.
She rushed to the scene, a place of unimaginable horror, where her son’s life was abruptly taken.
The investigation into the death of Camron Roesner quickly led authorities to a suspect, Johnny Clark. It is believed that Clark had broken into Roesner's apartment with the intention of robbing him. Roesner had recently won a significant amount of money, a fact that may have made him a target. According to police, a confrontation occurred between the two men, which ultimately led to Clark shooting and killing Roesner. The senseless act of violence left a family shattered and a community in mourning.
In the days following the incident, Johnny Clark was apprehended by law enforcement. He was initially arrested on charges unrelated to the murder, but evidence soon connected him to the death of Camron Roesner. A firearm that was believed to have been taken from the crime scene was found in Clark's possession at the time of his arrest. He was subsequently charged with first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, and shooting with intent to kill. The legal process that followed brought some measure of closure to a grieving family. Clark eventually pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to 40 years in prison for his role in the death of Camron Roesner.
