Johnny Lee Dean, a 22-year-old Black / African American man, was shot multiple times in the early hours of January 11, 2021, outside an apartment complex near East 66th Street and South Peoria Avenue in south Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shortly after 1:30 a.m., police were called to the complex on reports of gunfire and found Dean lying in the parking lot with numerous gunshot wounds.
