On January 1, 1985, the body of 20-year-old Kenneth Wesley Boyer was discovered in a remote industrial area in North Portland, Oregon. The body was found in a car parked on N. Portland Road between N. Columbia Blvd and N. Marine Drive, a location that was partially concealed by equipment parked nearby. Boyer, an African-American male, had been shot while sitting in his vehicle.
