On April 28, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Northwest Portland, Oregon, resulting in the death of 55-year-old James R. Rodgers Jr. The incident was reported at approximately 11:23 p.m. near the intersection of Northwest 17th Avenue and Irving Street.
