On a Friday evening in Oklahoma City, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Just days after his nineteenth birthday, Shearob Pittman, a Black male, was shot inside an apartment on April 22, 2022. The incident occurred at approximately 7:39 p.m. at a complex located at 9501 S. I-35 Service Rd.
Responding to a shooting call, police discovered Pittman with gunshot wounds.
He was quickly transported to a local hospital in an attempt to save his life, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead. The Oklahoma City Police Department classified his death as the 26th homicide of the year.
As of late April 2022, the investigation into the shooting was in its very early stages and remained an open case. Authorities had not yet taken any suspects into custody in connection with the homicide. The police have urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact their Homicide Tip Line.
