On the evening of September 26, 2022, a dispute that began over a disabled vehicle tragically escalated, ending the life of 33-year-old Felipe Palacios Jr. in southeast Oklahoma City. The Hispanic male was with a friend when the car they were in broke down at the intersection of S.E. 43rd Street and High Street.

Another driver, Jason Wayne Mercer, 35, became angered that the stalled vehicle was obstructing the roadway. A verbal confrontation ensued between Palacios and Mercer. The argumen ...
