In the spring of 2022, a burst of gunfire outside a hookah lounge in Tulsa, Oklahoma, tragically ended the life of 17-year-old Corlin Oshae Jones. The fatal incident unfolded on May 15, when a shootout erupted in the parking lot at Admiral and Lewis. The gun battle then spilled westward down 1st Street, leaving the young man with fatal injuries.
The investigation into the death of Corlin Jones led Tulsa police to identify three individuals believed to be involved in the shootout.
Warrants for first-degree murder were issued for Deontre Reed, Darius McGee, and Dominique Jordan. In August of that year, authorities successfully apprehended one of the suspects. Deontre Reed was taken into custody and booked into the Tulsa County jail on a first-degree murder warrant.
While one arrest was made, the search continued for the other two men charged in connection with the teenager's death. Police publicly identified Darius McGee and Dominique Jordan as the remaining suspects who were still at large following the deadly encounter. The community was left to mourn the loss of a young life as the legal process began for one of the accused and the hunt for the others persisted.
