On a late summer day, the quiet stillness of Bird Creek in Tulsa, Oklahoma was broken by a grim discovery. On September 12, 2004, the body of 33-year-old Lewis Douglas Parnosky was found by a fisherman on the east bank of the creek, underneath the Mohawk Bridge in the 8500 block of East 56th Street North. This discovery marked the unfortunate end to a search that began when he was reported missing on September 2nd of that year.
