In a heart-wrenching turn of events, three-year-old Trinity Littlejohn, a Black female, became the victim of a tragic murder-suicide at the hands of her own father in Oklahoma City. The devastating incident unfolded in the early morning hours of August 6, 2022, when Francoise Littlejohn, 30, took the lives of Trinity and her two siblings, four-year-old Aliyah and six-year-old Kyren, before taking his own life.
The chain of events began after a domestic dispute between Francoise
Littlejohn and the children's mother. Upset that she had left him, Littlejohn loaded his three children into his vehicle and began livestreaming threats to harm them on social media. A concerned relative who saw the alarming video feed immediately contacted the police at approximately 4:14 a.m. In the video, Littlejohn was seen waving a gun, with one of the children visible in the passenger seat, and he was heard saying he was going to kill them.
Tragically, by the time authorities were alerted, it was already too late. Surveillance footage from a neighborhood in the 11300 block of Treemont Lane showed Littlejohn pulling over his car at 4:11 a.m., just three minutes before the 911 call was made. It is in this quiet residential street that police believe Francoise Littlejohn shot and killed his three young children before turning the gun on himself. The motive for choosing this specific, seemingly random location remains unknown to investigators.
The grim discovery was made later that morning around 7:25 a.m. by a person out for a run who spotted the vehicle with the four deceased family members inside and immediately called the police. When officers arrived, they found Francoise Littlejohn in the driver's seat with a cellphone and a gun in his lap. The deaths of Trinity, Aliyah, and Kyren were ruled as homicides, while their father's death was determined to be a suicide.
