On a cold January evening in 2015, the life of Terez Herd, a 23-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short on the streets of Beloit, Wisconsin. The incident, which occurred on Monday, January 19, 2015, unfolded near the intersection of Porter Avenue and Randall Street, where gunfire erupted, leaving three people struck.
