On a spring night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the life of 28-year-old Juan Luis Estela Ortiz was brought to a violent end. In the early morning hours of May 15, 2022, Ortiz was shot and killed on the Southside of the city, in the 1900 block of W. Lincoln Avenue. The attack was relentless; he was shot more than 40 times, suffering over 80 gunshot wounds while inside his vehicle.
