In the early morning hours of a Friday in November 2015, tragedy struck in Lexington, Kentucky, forever altering the lives of a local family. Thirty-year-old William Thornton, a Black male, was found lying in the parking lot of the Camelot East strip club on Richmond Road with a life-threatening gunshot wound to his head. Another man was also discovered at the scene, having been shot in the chest. Both men were rushed to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital to fight for their lives.
