In the late summer of 2019, a 69-year-old man named Christopher Brooks lost his life in a burst of violence that shattered the peace of a Louisville neighborhood. On September 14th, in the Russell area of the city, Brooks was tragically shot and killed. The incident was described by law enforcement as a situation where he was an innocent bystander, caught in the crossfire of a dispute he had no part in.
