On May 14, 2022, a violent incident unfolded in Louisville, Kentucky, turning a milestone celebration into a tragedy. Kahlil Laghmani, an 18-year-old male, was traveling in a vehicle near the intersection of Hikes Lane and Taylorsville Road when the car was targeted by gunfire. Reports indicate that another vehicle pulled alongside them, and an occupant from inside opened fire on Laghmani and his companion. The attack occurred on what was Laghmani’s eighteenth birthday.
