Do you know who murdered Shawn Mosley? On a Wednesday evening in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of 18-year-old Shawn Mosley, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On September 26, 2012, police responded to a call in the 1000 block of Cecil Avenue in the Chickasaw neighborhood just before 9 p.m.. Upon arrival, they found Mosley, who had been shot multiple times in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene from his gunshot wounds.
At the time of the incident, Metro Police were actively investigating the shooting and
canvassing the neighborhood for clues and any potential suspects, who remained at large. In the immediate aftermath, no description of any suspects was released to the public. The case was one of two homicides that occurred within a three-hour span in Louisville that same evening.
Years have passed since Shawn Mosley's death, and his case remains an open homicide with the Louisville Metro Police Department. There have been no publicly announced arrests, and no suspects have been officially named in connection with his murder.
