In the early morning hours of a Thursday in June, the city of Florence, Kentucky, was disturbed by an act of violence that claimed the life of Omar A. Gonzalez, a 35-year-old man from the nearby city of Elsmere. On June 4, 2020, Gonzalez was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Frank Duke Boulevard.
