Albert Joseph Izzo, a 35-year-old male of Italian ethnicity, was a Pennsylvania State Trooper who tragically lost his life on June 13, 1979, in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Trooper Izzo was born on November 6, 1943, and had served with the US Marine Corps before joining the Pennsylvania State Police in 1971. He was part of the Region IV Strike Force and had nearly eight years of service with the state police.
