This request apparently angered his stepfather, Douglas C. Weingartner, 60, with whom Burnett had a strained relationship dating back to the late 1990s.
Upon their return to the family's home on Ellwood Road, the tension escalated. Following an argument with his mother, Burnett went to his room.
